Antoni Hardonk, Real American Hero… Sort Of

UFC heavyweight Antoni Hardonk is a badass. LAX thieves are seriously stupid. You can read the full MMAJunkie article here, or just read my synopsis.
Hardonk, the 6′4″ 250 lbs. Dutchman, was hanging out with his lawyer at LAX when some muggers foolishly tried to get Hardonk to hand over his wallet at knifepoint. Hardonk politely refused. The muggers, in a rare moment of clarity, backed down and walked away. Hardonk then saw the muggers grabbing some other dude’s wallet and chased them down. Although the muggers got away over a fence, the wallet was dropped and returned to the owner.
His tough-guy quote, “I’m stubborn. And I fight to earn my money and that’s a hard way to make a living. And I’m not just going to give it away to guys like that.”
His philanthropic quote, “”I believe if you can do something to help someone else, you should. We’re all here and we should all try to help each other if we can. It’s the right thing to do. I just did what I thought was right.”

Limp Bizkit Cancels UFC 100 Show, Weekend Now Ruined

UFC 100 is now a pointless excuse for an event. Limp Bizkit has pulled out of a performance scheduled for UFC 100 weekend. Here’s what Fred D. and company had to say via their douchesite:

Facts- Limp Bizkit did NOT, in any way, cancel the UFC100 concert in Las Vegas. Truth is UFC and Interscope records could not come to an agreement on certain DVD rights. With all respect to Mandalay Bay, The UFC were also unhappy with LB’s decision of wanting to switch the performance from the Beach at Mandalay Bay with its inappropriate layout for a heavy rock concert with Limp Bizkit, basically a stage in front of a pool, to a more standard concert venue also located at the mandalay Bay which was the House Of Blues. The UFC expressed they wanted a “party vibe” for this event and would not settle for any venue besides the Beach for this and other reasons. First, LB would like to confirm we are HUGE UFC fans and will always be, but feel it is unfair for UFC to falsely confirm and advertise that Limp Bizkit will be performing to only change their minds after many people have rearranged their lives and bought tickets to be in Vegas for this special concert. On that note we are proud to announce that we will still be performing on the same night out of respect for our fans. The details of when and where will follow shortly after this post. Again, all respect to UFC for inviting us in the first place. We will continue to support the UFC because it is our favorite MMA event. Stay tuned.

Sincerely,
Limp Bizkit

All Affliction Fighters Please Step Forward… Not So Fast Andrei

Affliction has decided to stop throwing money down at least one of the many money pits they have found. After paying Andrei Arlovski over $2 million (yes, that’s in US dollars) for two fights (yes, only 2), they have decided they no longer need his services. Arlovski has suffered two first round knock outs in his last two fights and apparently Affliction doesn’t like paying losers. There is no word yet on Arlovski’s possibilities for the future, but if he managed his money well, he may not have to fight any more.
